Every Veteran Deserves a safe place to sleep
At Veteran Housing Australia (VHA), we exist because no veteran should face homelessness after serving our country. As the nation’s lead organisation addressing veteran homelessness and the only community housing provider dedicated exclusively to veterans and their families, we provide tailored housing solutions — from crisis to permanent homes — so veterans have the stability they need to rebuild their lives. Because with a safe place to call home, everything else becomes possible.

Providing stability connection & hope
Our Communities
VHA owns and manages 100 properties across Victoria, located in key regional hubs including Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Mildura, Dandenong and Rosebud. Grounded in a Housing First approach, our communities provide more than just a roof — they offer immediate access to safe, stable housing as the foundation for rebuilding lives.
Living alongside fellow veterans creates a built-in support network of people who understand shared experiences, fostering peer connection, reducing isolation, and strengthening wellbeing. Through these connected communities and access to broader support services, veterans are empowered to regain independence, stability, and a renewed sense of belonging.
Apply For Housing
Many veterans who have served our country face significant challenges when transitioning to civilian life — with stable housing often the biggest barrier. Veterans remain overrepresented in Australia’s homeless population, highlighting the urgent need for dedicated, veteran-specific support.
At VHA, we take a Housing First approach — providing immediate access to safe, secure housing, alongside the support needed to rebuild stability, independence, and wellbeing.
