VHA is the lead organisation addressing veteran homelessness. We provide secure, affordable, long-term housing for veterans and their families facing homelessness or financial hardship.

We apply a housing-first approach—where priority is given to those in most need, and importantly without any preconditions attached to entry.

We are the only Registered Community Housing Provider focussed on Veterans in Australia.

Our rents are usually calculated at the lower of a percentage of household income or 75% of market rent, ensuring housing remains accessible and sustainable. Noting that dwellings in the state of Victoria are set in line with our requirements under state law as a registered community housing provider.

We currently provide homes supporting veterans in communities including Perth, Mildura, Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat, Dandenong and Rosebud, and we are always looking to expand.
