Crisis Accommodation
If you’re a veteran in need of immediate or short-term accommodation, we’re here to help.
We understand that life can change quickly, and many circumstances are beyond an individual’s control. In these moments, VHA offers more than just a place to stay — we provide a stable base where veterans can pause, regroup, and begin planning their next steps.
Through our crisis accommodation, veterans are connected to a broader network of support services tailored to their needs. This may include wellbeing support, assistance to relieve financial pressure, and guidance to secure long-term housing.
Our focus is not just on immediate shelter, but on creating a clear pathway toward stability, independence, and lasting housing outcomes.
Crisis accommodation can be provided for up to 14 days
Veterans and their families in our crisis accommodation are usually:
- Homeless or at immediate risk of homelessness.
- Unhoused due to legal reasons such as Domestic Violence, court visits, visitation orders, and separation.
- Needing accommodation due to hospital or medical reasons.
- Relocating and need accommodation during the gap between their permanent housing.
